Frequently Asked Questions

🔹 General Notary Questions

What is a Notary Public?
A Notary Public is an official appointed by the state to witness the signing of important documents, verify identities, and administer oaths.

Why do I need something notarized?
Notarization helps deter fraud and ensures that documents are properly executed. It’s often required for legal, real estate, financial, and medical documents.

What do I need to bring?
You’ll need a valid, government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license or passport) to verify your identity.

Can you provide legal advice?
No. Notaries are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice, draft legal documents, or interpret legal language.

🔹 Mobile Notary Services

What is a Mobile Notary?
A Mobile Notary travels to your location — your home, office, hospital, or other convenient spot — to perform notarial acts.

Where do you travel?
We serve Lake Stevens, Snohomish County, Skagit County, and North King County. Travel fees vary by distance.

Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes, subject to availability. Same-day or rush appointments may have an additional fee.

Are you available evenings or weekends?
Absolutely. We offer evening and weekend services to fit your schedule.

🔹 Notary Signing Agent / Real Estate Closings

What is a Notary Signing Agent?
A Notary Signing Agent (NSA) is a notary trained to handle and notarize loan documents for real estate transactions like purchases, refinances, and HELOCs.

Do you handle real estate closings?
Yes. We’re experienced with purchase, refinance, reverse mortgage, and other loan packages.

Do I need to have all documents ready?
Typically, your title or escrow company will prepare the documents. We’ll guide you through the signing and notarization process.

What if I have questions about the documents?
While we can point out sections for your review, we cannot explain terms or give legal advice.

For that, you’ll need to contact your lender or attorney.

🔹 Specific Situations

Do you do hospital or care facility visits?
Yes, we frequently visit hospitals, rehab centers, assisted living

and long-term care facilities.

Please ensure the signer is alert and aware.

What about Powers of Attorney or Wills?
We notarize these often. Make sure the person signing is of sound mind and not

under duress.

Do you need witnesses?
Some documents (like Wills or POAs) require witnesses. We can discuss this in advance to ensure the right people are present.

🔹 Payments & Fees

How much does it cost?
Washington state law sets the maximum notarial act fee at $10 per signature, but as a mobile notary we also charge a travel fee based on distance. We also offer flat-rate packages.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, and all major credit/debit cards via Square. No Checks

Will you provide a receipt?
Yes, we issue digital or paper receipts for every transaction.
